           When I read this week's chapter I instantly knew what I wanted to do: repurpose an old map I made for Dungeons and Dragons into a diagram. My old maps are very cluttered and covered in all kinds of notes and chicken scratches so I decided to play around with Tufte's idea of how a diagram should look "He argues that a chart or diagram should employ no metaphoric or excessive flourishes" (214) which seems like a perfect way to adapt my old map. I'm usually not much for a minimalist design but I do think it helps me as a Dungeon master to try and work with a more simplified design when guiding my players.
